EspañolThe Group of Investigation "Inquisitorial Studies" studies the social and cultural dimension of Inquisition and its mechanisms of control. It develops concerning four areas of investigation: the critical edition, translation and study of inquisitorial European and Spanish-American texts in Latin language and vernacular; the analysis of the procedures, functional competencies and social projection of the Institution in the territories of the Hispanic monarchy and European context; the analysis of the voices and crimes in the prosecution procedures generated by the different courts of the Inquisition in the Old and the New World; and the analysis of the didactic treatment that, at present, the institutional contents receive in the teaching and learning processes of the History of the Institutions in Primary and Secondary Education, and its relevancy for the civic and civil education in educational obligatory levels.
