Course in English Pronunciation
This course is aimed at Spanish speakers with B 2 knowledge of English who want to improve their pronunciation with a view to giving their courses through English. It is a PRACTICAL COURSE that will require no previous knowledge of English Phonetics and no theoretical learning outside the classroom. You will learn about the difficulties that English Pronunciation poses for Spanish speakers, how to overcome these difficulties, how to make your pronunciation more native-like and how to solve pronunciation problems that you may have in the future.
Full attendance and homework (recordings) will be required as it is in the classroom where we will do most of the practical activities and it is at home where you will address your particular difficulties individually. As you all know: "practice makes perfect", so oral work (in the form of recordings) will be demanded. We discourage you from taking the course if the timetable demands don’t fit your work demands.

October: Monday: 17-18:30; Wednesday 17-18:30; Friday: 12:00-14:00
November and December: Wednesday: 17-18:30; Friday: 12:00-14:00
Comienzo del curso: lunes 19 de octubre
Dirigido a: PDI de la Universidad de Burgos. Máximo 15 alumnos. Se requiere un nivel B2 (intermedio alto), pudiéndose realizar alguna prueba oral para comprobar el nivel.
Ponente: Dña. Mª Concepción Magariño Gonzalez, profesora de Filología inglesa de la Universidad de Burgos.
Lugar de realización: Facultad de Humanidades y Educación, aula 13 para los lunes y miércoles, y aula 4 para los viernes.
Duración: 45 horas (35h en el aula + 10h tutorización y grabación personalizada)
Inscripciones: hasta las 14:00 del 14 de octubre en el formulario electrónico . En caso de verse sobrepasado el número de plazas disponibles (15)se efectuará un sorteo que tendrá lugar en el Servicio de Recursos Humanos a las 12:00 del 15 de octubre. Las personas que habiendo sido admitidas a los cursos no asistan a los mismos, en futuras convocatorias serán admitidos solamente cuando no se cubran las plazas.
